These guidelines explain how Live Learning is requested, organised, and delivered through Bertum. Live Learning is instructor-led support delivered through agreed schedules and formats, with access and learning management handled through the platform.
1) Scope of Live Learning
Live Learning may include:
Tuition support (subject-based learning and academic improvement)
Homeschooling support (guided learning plans and delivery support)
Skills training delivered live (where applicable)
Exam preparation support (revision clinics, guided practice)
One-on-one or group learning sessions
Online, physical, or blended learning arrangements
2) How Live Learning works at Bertum
Live Learning is managed through a guided process:
Learners or parents submit an inquiry through the ticketing portal
Bertum reviews needs and matches an appropriate instructor
The learning plan, schedule, mode, and pricing are confirmed
Payment is completed through the approved channel
Learners receive access to the LMS for session links, materials, and communication
Learning begins as scheduled under the agreed structure
3) How to request Live Learning
All Live Learning requests must be submitted through the ticketing portal. Since ticket submission requires an account, communication and follow-up will be linked to the account used to submit the request.
When submitting, include:
Learner level (grade/form/course level)
Subject(s) or support area needed
Learning goals and challenges
Preferred mode (online/physical/blended)
Preferred format (group/one-on-one)
Availability (days and time windows)
Budget range (optional but helpful)
Any special needs or learning considerations (if applicable)
4) Matching and learning plan confirmation
Bertum reviews the request and matches the learner with a suitable instructor based on:
subject expertise and level
availability and preferred mode
learning needs and support type
class size requirements and learner goals
Where needed, a short consultation may be scheduled to clarify expectations before confirming the plan.
5) Scheduling and session expectations
Once confirmed:
A schedule is agreed and shared in advance
Learners are expected to attend on time
Repeated late arrivals or missed sessions may affect progress and continuity
Learners should come prepared with required materials and tasks
For group sessions:
Participants are expected to follow group rules to protect learning flow
Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the group session
6) Access and use of the LMS
After payment and enrolment:
Learners access live session links, resources, assignments, and communication tools through the LMS
Live learning courses are typically visible only to enrolled learners
Sharing session links, materials, or recordings outside the platform is not allowed unless permitted
7) Communication and conduct
Professional and respectful communication is required:
Learners and parents should use approved communication channels
Harassment, abusive language, or inappropriate behaviour is not allowed
Bertum may restrict access where conduct violates platform standards
8) Payments, pricing clarity, and enrolment
Pricing and payment terms are communicated before enrolment
Fees must be clearly defined (per session, per week, per month, per programme, or per term where applicable)
Access to live learning is confirmed after payment, based on the agreed arrangement
Where refunds or rescheduling terms apply, they will be communicated under the agreed policy
9) Learning materials, assignments, and feedback
Instructors may provide materials and tasks through the LMS
Learners are expected to complete assigned work for effective progress
Feedback timelines depend on the nature of assignments and agreed support plan
Parents may receive progress updates where appropriate
10) Changes, rescheduling, and cancellations
Rescheduling should be requested in advance where possible
Emergency changes may be handled case-by-case
Persistent cancellations or frequent schedule changes may require a revised learning plan
Bertum reserves the right to adjust arrangements to protect quality and consistency
11) Safeguarding and learner protection
Live learning environments must remain safe and respectful
For minors, safeguarding measures may include controlled access, moderated communication, and appropriate supervision
Sharing personal contacts in ways that bypass platform rules is discouraged to protect safety and service integrity
12) Platform rights and oversight
Bertum reserves the right to:
assign instructors and manage learning arrangements
review participation and engagement for quality purposes
restrict or suspend access where policies are violated
adjust learning plans where necessary to protect learner experience and platform standards
